The FlowCentric AX iDapters deliver standardised adapters integrating objects between FlowCentric Processware Suite and Dynamics AX. The iDapters have been developed to effect operative compatibility between FlowCentric and Microsoft Dynamics AX (versions 4.0 and 2009). The adapters are used to retrieve data from and update data to Microsoft Dynamics AX through a FlowCentric Webpage.

The iDapters provide the ability to create, update and delete the objects listed below. The update and create methods will have the facility to specify any number of fields to be updated on the specified tables. These methods adhere to the underlying Dynamics AX validation and return a Boolean value to indicate success or failure and in the case of failure the developer has the option to call the retrieve info log method (Original Dynamics AX messages) on the Session object (Specified under Utilities) to get a list of errors, warnings or informational messages. In addition, data extract functionality is provided to extract single, user limited or all data from a certain table. After being initiated, the iDapters will log onto Microsoft Dynamics AX using a preset proxy user and insert records from the front end using all the applicable Microsoft Dynamics AX functionality, therefore no invalid entries can be made into the ERP system database.
