Annata IDMS is a solution for importers, wholesalers, dealers and service providers in the automotive industry. It is built as an add-on to Microsoft Dynamics AX system. It utilizes the standard features of Microsoft Dynamics^TM AX as well as extensive additional features specifically designed to support the automotive downstream business.

The solution is built as a multi brand solution, i.e. the importer/manufacturer and/or dealer can handle many different brands of vehicles and devices and different manufacturer’s requirements. The solution is built in a way that it can handle all kinds of vehicle such as cars, machines, heavy machinery, forklifts and quarries.

In Annata’s IDMS solution for Micrsoft Dynamics^TM AX you are able to:

• Register detailed information on each vehicle for use throughout the supply chain
• Track historical data for each vehicle for use throughout the whole lifecycle of each item
• Register and work with different delivery statuses on each vehicle and therefore have on-hand information on what you have, where and when
• Have an overview over the importing process from purchase order to delivery to end-customer
• Support best practices in vehicle sales, with easy configurations of vehicles in the sales process
• Reduce the in-house item master by maintaining an external supplier’s item table with easy transfer of individual items to internal item master table
• Control and monitor emergency orders in an efficient integrated process
• Control vehicle loans and rent-outs and to monitor the status on each loaned or rented vehicle
• Make recalls and do notifications on groups of vehicles by predefined configurations and/or ad-hoc configurations
• Manage formal dialogue with outside agencies, e.g. vehicle registration office
• Manage vehicle service with efficient workshop management, e.g. time-slot placements and reservations
• Control and monitor the claims process, thus securing efficient revenue generation through claims

The Annata IDMS comes with both a vertical and horizontal focus. The vertical focus handles all IDMS specific things such as the vehicle import and sales, parts import and sales, used car trade-ins, service orders and claims. The horizontal focus is a set of features that are important to the automotive operation, but can also be used for other businesses. Those features are divided into part management and supplementary functionality.
